Jakarta – Harian ternama di Singapura, Straits Times tiba-tiba membuat 2 versi berita tentang kematian Project Officer The Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
Zhou Zheng. Dalam berita pertama, ditulis beberapa kebetulan antara kematian Zhou dan David, namun dalam tulisan berikutnya dihilangkan. Ada apa?
Jakarta – The well known Strait Times in Singapore suddenly made 2 different version of news regarding the death of the Project officer from NTU, Zhou Zheng. It was written in the first news that there’s a few coincidences between Zhou and David’s death, but in the next article, it was erased. What’s up there?
Di dalam artikel pertama, Zhou berada dalam satu fakultas dengan David di School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). Zhou lulus pada Juli 2008 lalu. Sementara David menjadi mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebelum meninggal jatuh dari lantai 4 gedung fakultas NTU.
In the first Article, Zhou is in the same faculty with David in chool of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). Zhou graduated July2008 last year. While David is a last year student before he fell to his death from the 4th floor of NTU’s faculty building.
Selain itu, ada kesamaan antara hari pertama kerja Zhou dan hari David meninggal usai dikabarkan menikam dosen pembimbingnya, Profesor Chan Kap Luk. Yakni pada Senin (3/3/2009) lalu.
Other than that, there are similarities between Zhou’s first day of work and the day David passed away after [so it was reported]- after stabbing his Lecturer, Professor Chan Kap Luk, on monday 3/3/09.
Namun dalam versi berita yang dilansir hari ini, Minggu (8/3/200), kedua hal tersebut hilang. Straits Times hanya mengisahkan kronologis kematian dan profil singkat Zhou. Tidak ada tulisan tentang David di dalamnya.
But in the news that was released today, Sundah (8/3/200), both of those statements were missing. Strait Times were only telling about the death chronology and Zhou’s short biography. There were no mention of David in it.
Selain itu, ada perbedaan foto yang ditampilkan dalam kedua artikel. Dalam tulisan pertama, ditampilkan foto jenazah Zhou yang sudah dibungkus kain putih. Sedangkan dalam berita kedua, ditampilkan foto Zhou sambil tersenyum.
And other than that, there were difference in picture that was shown on both article. In the first article, Zhou’s body was shown wrapped with white cloth. In the second article, a picture of Zhou smiling was shown.
Hal ini menimbulkan tanda tanya besar. Alasannya, beberapa cerita tentang kronologis kematian Zhou sudah dilansir sebelumnya dalam berita awal. Apakah pihak tertentu yang menekan harian terkenal di Singapura tersebut?
This incident raised a big question. Reason being, a few stories regarding Zhou’s chronological death was already stated in the original report. Were there specific parties that pressurized that renowned news company in Singapore?
